Carol J. Sherwood

Carol passed away at her home on Monday, February 24, 2025 at the age of 90. The daughter of the late Clarence and Evelyn (Blank) Leser was born December 23, 1934 in Bay City, Michigan. Carol enjoyed taking trips to the casino, walking, doing word searches and jigsaw puzzles, reading, cooking and baking. 

Carol is survived by her daughter, Kim J. Sherwood; three grandchildren, Lyndsey (Jared) Lanagan-Leitzel, Corinne (Kaleb) Gonzales and Chelsea (Derek) Titus; two great grandchildren, Jakob Mitchell Leitzel and Lilyana Shari Leitzel; one brother, Eugene “Bud” Leser and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Carol was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Sherwood; two daughters, Kari Lee Sherwood and Shari Ann Sherwood; two brothers, C. Robert Leser and Donald Leser; one sister, Patti Leser and three sisters-in-law, Sandra Leser, Patricia Leser and Barbara Leser. 

At the request of Carol, cremation has taken place and no services are being planned. A private inurnment will take place at Floral Gardens Cemetery at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Bay City.
