Caroline (Kolat) Michalak Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Michalak passed away Monday, July 9, 2012 at Brian's House. The daughter of the Stanley and Delphine (Baran) Kolat was born December 25, 1926 in Bay City. She retired Bay Regional Medical Center. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church. Mrs. Michalak volunteered at the St. Vincent de Paul Society and was a member of the Knights of Columbus #414 auxiliary. She was an avid reader and enjoyed golf. Caroline and Dan enjoyed traveling and their winters in Gulf Shores, AL. She is survived by her children and their spouses; Paul and Christine Michalak of Mackinaw City, MI, Barbara and James Baughman of Allen, TX., Linda Michalak and her fiancée, Joseph Wisniewski of Bay City, MI, seven grandchildren; Meghan Michalak, Caryn and Scott Painter, Kelly Michalak, Brian Baughman, Rachel Baughman, Kayla Grzegorczyk and Crislyn Gregorczyk, one brother and sister-in-law; Robert and Maxine Kolat. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband; Daniel D. Michalak, one son; Mark A. Michalak and one sister; Maxine Dombrowski. At the request of Caroline cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will take place Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. George J. Serour with inurnment in St. Patricks Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers memorial cards for St. Vincent de Paul Society, Brian's House or Wishes of the Family will be available at the funeral home.
