Carolyn Lee Markell

Carolyn passed away Monday, April 26, 2010 at Brian's House. Age 68 years. She was born May 1, 1941 in Flint, Michigan. Carolyn enjoyed reading western novels, writing poetry, watching classic movies, dancing, crocheting and spending time with family and friends at the family property in Skidway Lake. She is survived by one son; Kristopher C. Harris and his husband/partner; Neil M. Wolicki, one daughter; Kim Lee Haken, her husband, John Laur and their gorgeous daughter; Carolyn's granddaughter; Angelica, one sister; Vera Hundt and her husband; Albert, one brother; Lloyd Markell and his wife Janice, a dear niece Joy Klasek and her husband Les, many precious nieces and nephews, her special friends; Carolyn LaPan, Sandy Atkins and Kitty Horner, chosen family; Kelly Adamczyk, Louise Anderson, Lisa DeChane and Deanna Rodriguez who all helped to make Carolyn's final days so comfortable. She was predeceased by her parents; Charles and Charlotte (Tombs) Markell, one daughter; Tina Marie Sierocki and one brother; Richard Allen Markell. Funeral services will take place Thursday, September 29, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc.. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Craig L. Albrecht with private inurnment in Montrose Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. In lieu of flowers memorial cards for Brian's House will be available at the funeral home.
