Mrs. Smith passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 76 years. The daughter of the late Joseph and Freida (Herman) Snable Jr. was born October 11, 1940 in Bay City, Michigan. She was a member of Kawkawlin Community Church. Carolyn spent her younger working years, working with her beloved show horses; all three of her children and nieces were involved in showing and caring for the horses. Carolyn had the ability to make most of the kid's outfits for the shows; she was also a master at ceramics, having her own kiln there was very little she was unable to accomplish including backing up a trailer as well as any man. Her husband Ken adored her and will never get over the loss of his missy and soon they will be together again forever. Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Kenneth Smith whom she married on December 19, 1959; three children, Rhonda J. (Norman) Quintel, Jody L. Meylen and Brian K. Smith; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Adam, Christina, Kara, Zachary, Kylie and Ethan; her great granchildren; Emerson, Maria, Leah and Christopher; her baby puppy, Rylee; two sisters, Sandy (Casmir) Musial and Linda (Dick) Stevens and one brother, Doug (Janet) Snable. Funeral and Committal services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Charles Campbell. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
