After a 10-month battle with a rare childhood cancer, Cassidy passed away the morning of November 11, 2015 with family by her side. Age 11 years. She was born March 16, 2004 in Bay City, Michigan. Cassidy will be remembered for her love of her friends and family, generous spirit, zeal for life, love of fashion and all things Disney.
Cassidy is survived by her parents, Peter and Pam Christie; her sister, Carly Christie; her grandparents, Pete "Clem" and Carol Christie of Bay City, MI and Larry and Betty Gribble of Forsyth, MT; her aunts, Kelly (Mark) Duhaime of Bay City, MI and Carol (Frank) Marr of Wright, WY; her uncles, Anthony (Robin) Christie of Bay City, MI, Howard (April) Gribble of Harden, MT and Larry Jr. (Tami) Gribble of Gillette, WY; her cousins, Sam (Travis) Adcock of Bay City, MI, Jake (Sara) Duhaime of Detroit, Taylor Duhaime, Mark Duhaime and Cheyenne Christie all of Bay City, MI, Johnny Horton of Gillette, WY, Wisper Gribble of Wright, WY, Dustin and Matthew Gribble of Billings, MT, Tony and Nicole Gray of Gillette, WY, Darrell (Kat) Martinez of California, and Halley, Harley and Jayden Gribble of Gillette, WY.
Cassidy is also survived by The Miller Family of Sidney and Mile City, MT; The Fahrenbruck Family of Forsyth, MT; The Kehm Family of Billings, MT; the 6th Grade Class at Christa McAuliffe Middle School in Bay City, MI; the entire Bay City, Michigan community; and the nursing staff and doctors at Mott Children's Hospital, University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI.
The Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at St. Catherine of Siena Parish - St. Vincent de Paul Church. Rev. Fr. John S. Sarge and Sr. Virginia Scally, SNDdeN will officiate over the funeral rites with the Rite of Committal following at St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Vigil Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Cassidy will lie instate at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
