Catherine "Kay" Kube

Kay passed away on Monday, April 20, 2020 at her residence. Age 92 years. The daughter of the late John and Catherine Padjac was born March 28, 1928 in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Mrs. Kube was an active member of Corpus Christi Parish where she was member of the Altar Society and a money counter. She loved her Michigan State basketball and football and the Detroit Tigers. Mrs. Kube was a little league coach, enjoyed playing softball and traveling the world. Kay was also the past president of the ABWA, volunteer of the year at the Senior Center and a longtime employee of Midland Contracting.

Mrs. Kube is survived by her husband, Calvin "Jim" Kube whom she married on May 13, 1950; one daughter, Colleen Kube; one son, Chris (Kathy) Kube; nieces and nephews, John and Ann Padjac and Patty Lamp. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Hatti and Mary Helen and one brother, Joe.

At the request of Mrs. Kube cremation has taken place. A memorial service is being planned for a later date and will be announced later by the Gephart Funeral Home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to Corpus Christi Parish.
