Cecilia E. Walmsley

Cecilia passed away on Saturday morning, December 23, 2017 at Red Oaks Adult Foster Care with her family by her side at the age of 88. Cecilia was born on April 17, 1929 in Bay City to the late Napoleon and Celia (Gregoire) Gentle. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary's Church and retired after twenty eight years as a dental assistant for Dr. Coates.
Surviving are her children, Glen (Patricia) Walmsley, Catherine (David) Bosco and Janet (Ryan) Neveau; grandchildren, Jill (Joe) Norman, Craig Bosco, David (Genna)  Bosco II, Katie and Brooke Neveau, Jennifer Goodwin and Amie (David) Dockett; great grandchildren, Jenavieve Martin, Jordan Hinson and Jessica Dockett; sisters-in-law, Delores and Rita Gentle. Cecilia was preceded in death by her husband Roy in 2000; brothers, Ed Langevine, Donald, Charles and Thomas Gentle; sisters, Helen Trombley, Marian Tanner and Eva Wruck; sister-in-law, Joyce Gentle.
The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary's Church (607 E. South Union, Bay City, MI 48706) . The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Patrick M. Jankowiak with private Rite of Committal at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday to receive family and friends from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Cecilia will lie in state at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial contribution to the wishes of the family for gifts for various facilities that took care of Cecilia.
