Charles Robert Krause

Krause, Charles Robert Bay City, Michigan Mr. Krause passed away Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the Iosco County Medical Care Facility in Tawas, Michigan. Age 77 years. The son of the late Ernest and Mina (VanTol) Krause was born July 20, 1935 in Hampton Township, Bay County, Michigan. He retired from the United States Navy, was a former member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, D.A.V. Robert King Jr. Chapter 9 and the P.L.A.V. He is survived by three sisters and two brothers ; Evelyn McGinnis of Bay City, Jeanette Banaszak of Lake George, Gerald Krause of Bay City, Duane and Toni Krause of Linwood and Diane and Erik Littrup of Lilkesboro, NC and numerous nieces and nephews. On October 26, 1963 he married the former Joan Halub and she preceded him in death on June 28, 2008. He was also preceded in death by one brother; LaVerne Krause, one sister-in-law; Mary Krause and two brothers-in-law; Lloyd McGinnis and Robert Adolph Banaszak. Funeral Services will take place Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc.. Officiating will be Sr. Virginia Scally, SNDdeN with interment following in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery under the auspices of the Bay County Veterans Council and the United States Navy. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. and until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
