Charles A. McCarthy

Mr. McCarthy passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at his residence. Age 79 years. The son of the late William J. and Harriet (Cavaney) McCarthy was born November 17, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan. Mr. McCarthy retired as a manager from Kroger, served in the U.S. Army and enjoyed bowling. Mr. McCarthy is survived by his wife of 38 years the former Charlotte Jankowski; one daughter, Sharon (Mitch) Roberts; two grandsons, Garrett (Stephanie) Roberts and Justin (Hope) Roberts; one great grandson, Jaxson Daniel Roberts; two brothers, John (Jane) McCarthy and Jim (Dolores) McCarthy; one sister, Ruth Ann Perry; one brother-in-law, Victor Kaidan; two sisters-in-law; Delphine Jankowski and Catherine McCarthy and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one step son, Robert Helminiak; three brothers, Robert, William and Richard McCarthy; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary (Gene) Hofelich; brother-in-law, John Perry and two sisters-in-law, Helen and Jennie McCarthy. At the request of Mr. McCarthy cremation has taken place. A memorial service is being planned for a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contribution to St. Gabriel Parish or the Wounded Warrior Project.
