Charles "Bo" Wiesen passed Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the age of 84 years. He was born June 24, 1937 in Bay City to the late Floyd and Leona Wiesen. Bo married Mary Ann Higgins Parkhurst July 10, 1970. Bo retired from GM Powertrain in Bay City after 25 years. He enjoyed playing many sports throughout his life and was an avid fan of Detroit professional teams. He loved all kinds of music and was an excellent dancer. Bo had so many hobbies, including woodworking and biking, and best of all fishing! He could hold a room with stories, many of them fish stories, leaving everyone roaring in laughter.
Bo is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; daughters Tina (Robert) Syring and Joy Wiesen; sons Charles "Chuck" Wiesen and James (Lynn) Wiesen; three stepchildren and 18 grandchildren; two brothers, Lawrence and Richard; and one sister, Diane (Thomas) Obermiller; many nieces and nephews; and best friend for over 75 years, Kenneth (Marge) Manor. In addition to his parents, Bo was also preceded in death by his first wife, Jerry Ashton; daughter Kimberly Wiesen-Klass; brothers: Jack, Jim, Floyd Jr; and sisters: Geraldine, Joan, Vivian, and Mary.
Bo was a well-loved, faithful member of the North Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Bay City where he developed many close loving relationships with his brothers and sisters of faith. We send a special thank you to the Niche Aging Center for their care and compassion in Bo's final days when he was no longer able to live independently.
There will be a memorial service for Bo that will be celebrated on Saturday, May 14th at 1:30 pm by Zoom. For those who would like to attend, the Zoom Meeting Number is 828 7033 1345, Password is 150477.
