Charlotte A. Cox

Our loving wife, mother and sister went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 29, 2017 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 72 years. The daughter of the late Mike Edgar Grover Greene and Thelma Ferrell was born January 20, 1945 in Sheffield, Alabama. Charlotte was a member of New Life Missionary Church where she was a clerk and was retired from St. Mary's of Michigan. Charlotte loved reading, cooking, baking and serving inside and outside of the church.

Mrs. Cox is survived by her husband, John T. Cox Jr.; three children, Dawn Marie Cox, John T. (Terri) Cox III and Eric M. Cox; one brother, Verne (Tamyra) Bates Jr.; three sisters, Betty (David) Karbon, Rita Bates and Cindy (Kevin) Hunt and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her father that raised her, Verne J. Bates Sr.

Funeral and Committal services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the New Life Missionary Church. Officiating will be Rev. Jonathan Boyer with private interment in Fremont Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
