Cheryl L. Ashmore

Ashmore, Cheryl L. Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Ashmore passed away Monday, February 14, 2011 at her residence. Age 62 years. The daughter of the late Arthur and Dorothy (Gottschling) Simmons was born December 12, 1948 in Bay City. Cheryl enjoyed playing bingo and loving her cats and dogs. Cheryl is survived by her husband James L. Ashmore Sr.; seven children, Bobbie (Kevin) Kenney, Brenda Valley, Jim (Joan) Ashmore Jr., Ed (Kim) Ashmore, Will (Demra) Ashmore, Shirley (Brian) Ashmore and Fronda (Tim) Pattengill; eighteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Darleen (Carson) Randall and Debbie Berchem; one brother, Arthur (Shelley) Simmons and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Cheryl was also preceded in death by one sister, Betty Simmons and two grandsons, Jonas and Justin. Funeral and Committal services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 18, 2011 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Jackie Roe of the Cass City United Methodist Church with interment following in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services. Memorial cards for VFW post 6950 Kawkawlin/Linwood will be available at the funeral home.
