Sikorski, Chester M. Bay City, Michigan Mr. Sikorski passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at his residence with his family by his side. Age 82 years. The son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Tomczak) Sikorski was born December 27, 1929 in Linwood, MI. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Salvation Army. Mr. Sikorski was retired from G.M. Powertrain Bay City Plant and a member of U.A.W Local #362. He was a volunteer for many years at church camp, was a Noon Aide at Mackensen School and also read to the children at school. Mr. Sikorski enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing, hunting and gardening. He is survived by one son; Daniel Sikorski of Bay City, MI, two daughters and one son-in-law; Kathleen and Thomas Cobb of Omer, MI and Marilyn Dean of Bay City, MI, his grandchildren: Heidi and Kacey Bentley, Jessica and William Sexton Jr., Ryan and Shane Cobb, Kayleen Whitney and Brandon Sikorski, his great grandchildren; Daniel Wuopio Jr., Kayleigh Wuopio, Tressa Sexton, William Sexton III, Rylee and Renae Bentley, his brother and sister-in-law; Walter and Nell Sikorski of N.C. his sisters-in-law and brother in-law; Florence Brozewski and John and Ann Libera. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife; Janie Sikorski, one daughter; Dianne Sikorski, his sisters; Vicki Banaszak, Frances Koehler, Ceil Bukowski, and Delores Milon, his brothers; Jake, Frank, Mike and Stanley Sikorski. The Family would like to extend a special Thank you to Dr. Matooz and his staff, Dee from Caro Pharmacy, his visiting nurse Jill and the Bay County Division on Aging for the kind and compassionate care given to our loved one during his time of need. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Friday, January 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. The celebrant will be Rev. Robert S. Gohm with the Rite of Committal following in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Salvation Army will conduct a prayer service Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Sikorski will be taken to the church on Friday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass.
