Christine Martha Sturm

Sturm, Christine Martha of Bay City, Michigan passed away Friday, March 9, 2012 at The Carriage House of Bay City. Age 94 years. She was born July 31, 1917 in Monitor Township and resided in Bay City all of her life. She was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church and enjoyed baking for her family. Mrs. Sturm is survived by one son and two daughters-in-law; Gary and Nancy Sturm of South Haven, MI, Dorothy (Sturm) Kolhoff and her spouse John, five grandchildren; Shelly Hoffman, Jason Sturm, Brandon Sturm Jeremy Sturm and Justin Sturm , three great grandchild; Gatlin Eugene Hoffman, Keaton Eugene Sturm and Rheanah Grace Sturm, one sister; Florence Bow of Saginaw, Michigan, many nieces, nephews and friends. On May 5, 1946 she married Adolph H. Sturm at Trinity Lutheran Church of Monitor and he preceded her in death on April 9, 2009. She was also preceded in death by one son; Eugene Strum in 1990 her parents Simon and Elsie Hecht, two sisters; Rose Stephen and Gustie Behmlander and three Brothers and two sisters-in-law; Henry(Marie), Martin (Esther) and Edwin Hecht. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Monday, March 12, 2012 at 11:00 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church 706 W. Jane St. Bay City. Officiating will be Rev. Paul E. Schaewe with interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.. Mrs. Sturm will be taken to the church on Monday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services. Memorial cards for St. John's Ev.
