Clara Jane Hollies

Clara passed away Friday, November 29, 2024 at Bayfield Assisted Living with her family by her side at the age of 91. She was born In Bay City, Michigan on December 26, 1932 to the late Carl Richardson and Clara Jane (Doud) Richardson. Clara was very sociable and loved being around people. She enjoyed gardening, baking, completing word search puzzles and spending time with her family.

 Clara is survived by her three sons, Thomas Hollies, Steven (Beth) Hollies, and Kenneth Hollies; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Hollies; sister, Clarabelle Jakob; five grandchildren, Cody (Allison) Hollies, Chiara Hollies, Brian (Omega) Hollies, David (Kate) Hollies, and Kelsey Hollies; three great grandchildren, Adrian Hollies, Harrison Hollies, Walden Hollies; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Alvin Hollies; son, Michael Hollies; sisters, Susan (Henry) Sampson and Elaine (Bernard) Reese; brother-in-law, Zbigniew “Jake” Jakob; and daughter-in-law, (Tom’s wife) Janet Ritter.

 A Funeral Service will take place at 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Gephart Funeral Home, with private interment following at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be considered to Wishes of The Family.
