Clarence E. Reiss

Clarence E. Reiss Bay City, Michigan Mr. Reiss passed away Thursday September 3, 2015 at Brittany Manor in Midland, MI. Age 86 years. He was born April 19, 1929 in Bay City and has resided in this area all of his life. Clarence was a member of Corpus Christi Parish - Holy Trinity Campus and retired from Grey Iron Foundry as a relief foreman. Mr. Reiss proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from February 28, 1952 to February 16, 1954. Clarence had a great love for a good game of golf and accomplished numerous Hole in One's. He was a member of Green Hills Golf Club for many years as well as the Bay County Golf Course. Left behind to cherish his memories are two daughters and one son-in-law; Cathy Satkowiak and her fiancee Rick Terwilliger of Sanford and Connie and Jim Anderson of Bay City, three grandchildren; Courtney Anderson of Chicago, Jennifer and Jeffrey Rankin of Colorado Springs, CO and Matthew and Sarah Satkowiak of Traverse City, his sisters; Eleanor Shutt, Caroline Behmlander, Loretta Reinke, Leona Eisenman, Rosetta Norlock and Irene Uhlmer, one special niece; Sandy Shutt and many other nieces and nephews. On October 1, 1949 he married Beverly Ann Schallier and she preceded him in death on April 4, 2005. Clarence was also preceded in death by his parents; George M. and Wilhelmina (Feinauer) Reiss and many brothers and sisters. Funeral Services will take place Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Kevin N. Kerbawy with interment following in St. Stanislaus Mausoleum under the Auspices of the Bay County Veterans Council and the United States Army. The family will be present at the funeral home on Saturday to receive visitors from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
