Jonas, Clements S. Jr. Essexville, Michigan Mr. Jonas passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Brookdale Assisted Living. Age 91 years. The son of the late Clements S. and Elizabeth (Satkowiak) Jonas Sr. was born July 7, 1926 in Bay City, Michigan. Mr. Jonas was a former member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Saginaw, retired from the United States Post Office and was a member of the Postal Workers Union. Mr. Jonas enjoyed playing tennis, crossword puzzles, Sudoku puzzles, baking, gardening and loved helping people out. Mr. Jonas is survived by his wife the former Paula Palmiery whom he married in the summer of 1996; three children, Doris (Tom Bowden) Jonas, Carol (Tom Engleman) Jonas and Stuart (Suzanne) Jonas; four step children, Marilou (Michael) O'Dell, Carl (Janet) Real, Ellen (Doug) Driver and Lynn (John) Young; four granddaughters, one grandson, seven great grandchildren, eleven step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren; two brothers, Larry (Sally) Jonas and Michael (Janet) Jonas; three sisters, Elizabeth Carmichael, Rita Meilstrup and Mary Ann Bonkowski and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Jonas and Arlene Jonas. In addition to his parents Mr. Jonas was also preceded in death by his son, Mark Jonas; four brothers, Pete, Paul, Wilfred and Anthony and one sister, Margaret. At the request of Mr. Jonas cremation has taken place and there will be no services at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Private inurnment will take place at Floral Gardens Cemetery at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the wishes of the family.
