Our loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother and sister passed away January 1, 2024 at Symphony Tri-Cities, at the age of 89. The daughter of the late Arthur and Elsie (Draves) Haberland was born May 23, 1934 in Bay City, Michigan. Colleen was a member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church and very involved with the Ladies Aid at church. She retired after many years of service as a bookkeeper at Dr. Thomas Wrights office in Bay City. Colleen enjoyed helping others and enjoyed watching her birds.
Left behind to cherish her memories are one son and daughter-in-law, James and Debbie Bourassa; one daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Robert Koren; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Jonica and Justin; two great grandchildren, Ava and Mark; her brother and sister-in-law; Daryl and Louise Haberland; nieces and nephews, Connie Haberland, Steve (Valerie) Haberland, Art Haberland, Doug (Roseanne) Haberland, Rochele Swicicki and Jennifer Dukarski. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lyle J. Bourassa and her brothers, Melvin (JoAnn) Haberland and Hoppe Haberland.
Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 6:00 at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Jacob Reich with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery.
