Cornelius M. 'Neil' Lutze Bay City, Michigan The son of the late William and Agnes Lutze passed away after a lengthy illness on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the age of 83. Neil is survived by his wife, Margaret (Riley) Lutze, his son, Larry (Sue) Lutze of Bay City; grandson, Brian (Kristina) Lutze; a sister, Reatha Houck of Pontiac; three brothers, Russell Lutze of Mio, Maurice Lutze of Otter Lake and Curtis (Judy) Lutze of California; eight brothers and sisters-in-law; he was a great uncle to many nieces and nephews and he also leaves behind many friends. Neil was employed at Kawkawlin Church Manufacturing for over 20 years. He served in the U.S. Army. Neil enjoyed his Lionel trains, hunting and fishing with family, rooting for his favorite team, the Detroit Tigers. Neil was preceded in death by two brothers, Basil (Pat) Lutze and Walter Lutze; his father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Florence Riley; two sisters-in-law, Rita Lutze and Ellen Matthews; and three brothers-in-law, George Breecher, William Riley and James Meschke. The family would like to thank Rev. Joe and Hospice and Visiting Nurses for the loving care they gave to Neil. The Funeral Service will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 22, 2012 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson followed by Military Honors conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council. Neil's family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service.
