Mr. Daniel M. Schingeck, age 79, of Kawkawlin, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2013 at the Bay Medical Care Facility. Daniel was born in Mount Clemens, MI on July 26, 1934 where he resided until the time he met the love of his life, Norma Russeau and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Dan and Norma were married on April 9, 1953 and recently celebrated their 60th Anniversary. Dan was a 20 plus year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton & Florence (Otte) Schingeck; his sister, Sally; a brother, Harold "Skip"; and recently this year his eldest son, Danny Schingeck on August 28, 2013 at the age of 58. Dan is survived by his wife of 60 years Norma Schingeck of Kawkawlin; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy & John Fryzel of Pinconning; one son and daughter-in-law, Damon & Sue Schingeck of Kennesaw, Georgia; a daughter-in-law, Debra Schingeck of Bay City; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Robert Schingeck, Dick Schingeck, Don Schingeck and Jim Russell; one sister, Carol Woods; along with numerous other adopted members. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Bay County Medical Care Facility of Essexville for the kind and compassionate care they extended to Daniel during his time there. It was Dan's desire for cremation to take place and for no services to be held.
