Mrs. Darlene A. Wieszczecinski, of Bay City, passed away Sunday morning, May 25, 2014 at Bayfield Assisted Living in Bay City, age 81. The daughter of the late Fredrick & Margaret (Clarey) Dubey, she was born December 22, 1932 in Bay City. Darlene was retired from the cashier office at Bay Regional Medical Center and had previously worked at Mercy Hospital. In 1974 she was the Bay Medical Center Employee of the Year. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the League of Catholic Women & Men. Since her retirement Darlene kept busy and enjoyed watching the GameShow Network. On May 7, 1960 Darlene married Raymond C. Wieszczecinski and he preceded her in death on January 8, 1985. She is survived by her three children, Thomas (Carol) Wieszczecinski of Bay City, Sue Sudhoff of Indianapolis, Indiana and Martin (Kate) Wieszczecinski of Bay City; five grandchildren, Daniel, Elyse, Devlin and Charles Wieszczecinski and Katie (Keith) Bruce; and two great-granddaughters, Evelyn & Clara. Darlene was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Will Sudhoff; her brother, Alfred Duby; and two sisters, Joyce (Ray) West and Betty (Stan) Tyra. The Wieszczecinski Family would like express their sincere appreciation to Bayfield Assisted Living, Hometown Hospice and Dr. Shyam Dandamudi for the wonderful care that Darlene received. The Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert S. Gohm with the Rite of Committal to follow at St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the Parish Vigil Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Wieszczecinski will lie instate at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
