David E. Schaffer

SCHAFFER, David E. of Bay City, Michigan. Mr. Schaffer passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 6, 2010 at Bay Regional Medical Center. Age 67 years. He was born September 15,1942 in Bay City. David retired from Dow Chemical Company in Midland and served with the United States Air Force. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting and especially fishing. He is survived by his wife Diane, one daughter and son-in-law; Dana and Jim Mahoney of Midland and two grandchildren; Giselle and Noah Mahoney. He was predeceased by his father; Frank Schaffer and one sister; Kay. Memorial Service will take place Saturday, April 10, 2010, at 1 p.m. at the Point/ Break wall of Linwood Beach Marina and Campground (Hoyle's) 135 S. Linwood Beach Road Linwood, MI 48634. Officiating will be Sr. Joanne Toohey. At the request of Mr. Schaffer cremation has taken place. The family will be present at the marina on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. and until the time of services.
