Deborah A. Curler

Deborah A. Curler, of Bay City, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Bay Regional Medical Center. Age 64 years. She was born October 25, 1947 in Bay City MI. Deborah was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She graduated from Handy High School in 1965 and graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor's Degree in English. Deborah retired from Bay City Public Schools as a teacher. She taught at T.L. Handy High School, Western High School and Central High School. She enjoyed reading and traveling to see her daughter when she lived in Baltimore, MD, Santa Cruz, CA and Chicago, IL. She is survived by her husband of forty two years; Ronald E. Curler whom she married on July 12, 1969. Also surviving are one daughter; Kathleen "Kate" E. Curler, her parents; Lyle and Mary Staudacher, her brother; Brian Staudacher and his children; Lynn (married to Rose) Staudacher and Sean Staudacher, her brother in-laws and sisters-in-law; Lawrence and Jane Curler, Joyce and Ray Furtaw, Shirley Faulkner, Dorothy and Robert Bailey, Sandra and Alan Locke and Donald and Deanna Curler, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother; Lynn Staudacher, mother-in-law and father in-law; Ralph and Agnes Curler Sr., her brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Ralph Curler Jr., Richard Curler and Donna Schad. Funeral and committal services will take place Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Daniel C. Meckes with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial cards for Juvenile Diabetes Association (11 South LaSalle St. #1800 Chicago, ILL 60603-1344) will be available at the funeral home.
