Delbert Jenkins is DEAD
Delbert was a very loving man of many words who would talk to anyone who would listen. His daily desire was to seek out and help others. He was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. Delbert proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. As a lifelong MASTER CRAFTSMAN IN SKILLED TRADES, he viewed his world with precision. Delbert loved his work. His employers include BAY MACHINE TOOL, MULLER BROS., EUCLID TOOL, L & W TOOL & ENGINEERING and retired from GENERAL MOTORS POWER TRAIN after 41 years of Service. In his youth, his family's 4 acre farm always provided him with an ample chore list. His father taught him The Bible, hard work, and compassionate purposeful living. As a younger man he was an avid sail plane and glider enthusiast soaring and flying with only the wind to propel him. Delbert was an amazing wood carver and was a collector of many things.
His wife of 50 years, Bonnie (Hockin), preceded him in death. Also preceding him are his parents, Fred and Anna; his brothers, Clarence and Melvin. Living to cherish his memory is his daughter, Jennifer (Larry) Cohen; grandchild, Zoey and much extended family.
