Dennis Winfield Poyer

Poyer, Dennis Winfield Bay City, Michigan Mr. Poyer passed away Sunday morning, February 20, 2011 at Bay Regional Medical Center. The son of the late Charles and Iva (Farmer) Poyer was born December 11, 1946 in Bay City. He was a member of Grace Christian Fellowship Church. Mr. Poyer retired from Delphi Chassis Systems in Saginaw, MI., he enjoyed riding his Harley, spending time with his family and was a life member of the Harley Owners Group. He is survived by his wife the former Jane E. (Peck) Poyer whom he married June 30, 2002. Also surviving are his children; Brandi (Brian) Kunz, Tammy (Jack) Smith, Angela (Stewart) Clark and Rob (Kelly) Andress, his grandchildren; Mackenzee Kunz, Kaylee and Chloe Smith, Katie Schafer, Abby and Elizabeth Clark, Robbie, Alan and Samantha Andress, Amber and Annie Neumeyer, four great grandchildren, one sister; Diane (Brian) Hinton. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his first wife; Francine (Kolb) Poyer and one brother; Terry Poyer. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Christian Fellowship Church. Officiating will be Rev. Ron Benson with cremation following. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mr. Poyer will be taken to the church on Thursday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
