Dennis K. Sharp

Dennis Sharp passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Huron Woods Nursing Home. Age 84 years. The son of the late Harry and Ione (Harding) Sharpe was born May 5, 1933 in Mecosta County, Michigan. Dennis was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, served in the U.S. Army and was retired from the Bay City Fire Department after 31 years of service.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Mary J. Sharp; five children, Marie (Lyle) Stoneburner, Connie (Ken) Erikson, Lori (Mark) Moss, Michael (Patti) Sharp and James (MaryBeth) Sharp; 18 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; one brother, Lavern (Dorothy) Sharpe; two sisters, Cleda Armstrong and Karen (John) Grubbs and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Dennis was also preceded in death by his grandson, Lance Jon Bennett; sister, Marlyn Proulx and his infant brother, Ronald Sharpe.

Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Corpus Christi Parish. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert J. Kelm with private Rite of Committal following in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place on Friday at 7:00 p.m. Dennis will be taken to the church to lie in state on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the wishes of the family.
