Dominic Wejrowski

Dominic Wejrowski Bay City, Michigan Mr. Wejrowski passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 83 years. The son of the late Aloysius and Helen (Guzdial) Wejrowski was born May 20, 1933 in Williams Twp., Michigan. He was a longtime member of Visitation Catholic Church and a member of St. Jude Thaddeus Parish. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired from Dow Chemical Company as a millwright. Mr. Wejrowski enjoyed polka dancing with his wife Margaret, traveling, hunting, was a Detroit Tiger fan and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Left to cherish his memories are five children, Kathy (Jeff) Wall, Pat (Jan) Wejrowski, Mary Jo (Steve) Prendergast, Karen (Bob) Allore and Diane Klapish; seven grandchildren, Evan and Bryan Wall, Troy, Tyler (Amber) and Tara Wejrowski, Kaitlyn Allore and Emily Klapish; one sister; Evelyn Kozubal, one sister-in-law, Lillian Wejrowski, one brother-in-law; Tom Beeckman and many nieces and nephews. On December 7, 1953 he married the former Margaret E. Schnell and she preceded him in death on May 4, 2016. In addition to his parents Aloysius and Helen he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters; Rose (Ray) Glish, Louis Wejrowski, Grace Beeckmen, Dominica (Leo) Bartos, Raymond (Agnes) Wejrowski, Bernard (Julie) Wejrowski and Lucy (Ellis) Ordiway. The Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal will be celebrated on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. St. Jude Thaddeus Parish - St. John Church in Essexville followed by Military Honors conducted by the United States Army. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Dale A. Orlik. Private interment will take place in St. Anthony Cemetery. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. to receive visitors on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. Mr. Wejrowski will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
