Donald D. Hegenauer

Mr. Hegenauer passed away Monday, July 5, 2010 at Brian's House. Age 75 years. The son of the late Carl and Gladys (Kleinke) Hegenauer was born January 18, 1935 in Bay City, Michigan. Donald enjoyed boating and worked for R.W.C. for forty two years before retiring in 1997. Donald is survived by his wife the former Roberta Robinson whom he married July 14, 1956; two daughters, Jamie (Larry) VanWert and Tori (Stan) Liss; five grandchildren, Sarah (Nathan) Barras, Ryan VanWert, Eric (Carol) VanWert, Jennifer (Steven) Meyer and Angela Liss and her special friend Eric Christian; three great grandchildren, Noah and Madelyn Meyer and Emily Christian; three brothers, Richard (Sue) Hegenauer, Gerald (Joan) Hegenauer and John (Joyce) Hegenauer. In addition to his parents Donald was also preceded in death by his twin brother, Ronald Hegenauer and his wife Nancy. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kathy, Audrey, Jessica and Dee at Bay Shores Rehab Center for their compassion and care. At the request of Mr. Hegenauer cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Pastor Marc Alba with private inurnment in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. and until the time of services. Memorial cards for Brian's House will be available at the funeral home.
