Mr. Irvin passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 87 years. He was born June 10, 1927 in Indianapolis IN. Mr. Irvin retired from Essroc Cement Plant. He was a member of several military organizations; he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, doing yard work and gardening. Mr. Irvin served his country in the U.S. Army during W.W. II. Left behind to cherish his memory are his four sons; Mark, David, Craig and Kevin Irvin, one sister; Iris LeTourneau, one brother-in-law; Don Stevenson, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife; Norene Jane Irvin whom passed away July 3, 2012 and one sister; Gail Stevenson. Funeral Services will take place Monday, July 7, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson with entombment following at Elm Lawn Mausoleum followed by Military Honors conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council. The family will be present at the funeral home on Monday to receive family and friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
