Donald E. Mehl

Mehl, Donald Edward Freeland, Michigan Donald passed away late Sunday Evening January 2, 2011 at Bay Regional Medical Center. Age 77 years. The son of the late Christian and Marie (Eurich) Mehl was born July 24, 1933 in Saginaw, Michigan. Donald was retired from the Carpenters Local 706. Mr. Mehl is survived by his wife the former Bernice C. Foerster whom he married on September 14, 1951; five children, Dennis (Connie), Brian (Cheryl), Rodney (Kathy), Kent (Tracy) and Kevin (Kim) Mehl; ten grandchildren, Trever, Michael (Brenda), Mark (Jana), Brent (Becky), Tanya, Katie, April, Kelsey, Kyle and Errin; six great grandchildren, Noah, Gavin, Kayla, Joshua, Justin Mehl and Desiree Crane. In addition to his parents, Donald was also preceded in death by six brothers, Henry, John, Jacob, Christian, Gottfried and Carl; four sisters, Sophia, Marie, Millie and Lydia. At the request of Mr. Mehl cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at St. John's Lutheran Church of Amelith. Officiating will be Rev. Stephen P. Starke. Friends may call at St. John's Lutheran Church of Amelith on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services. Giving of a memorial for St. John's Lutheran Church of Amelith or donor's favorite charity will be available at the church.
