Donald E. Pockrandt "Pokey"

Donald passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Center in Saginaw, Michigan at the age of 90. He was born on August 6, 1931 to the late Otto and Hattie (Maple) Pockrandt in Auburn, Michigan. He operated and owned Don's Barber Shop for over 64 years. He was a member of the Eagles club. He enjoyed golfing, downhill skiing, flying planes, and going to casinos. He loved cats, going to car shows and dancing, especially Polka dancing. He was also a great story teller.
Donald is survived by his wife of over 28 years, Nancy (Schneider) Pockrandt; children, Kimberly (Kim) Hubbard, Karen (Phil) Rupp, Kellie Wascher and Kayla Pockrandt; step-children, Diane (Joe) LeFevre, Bill (Sandy) Whalen, Tammy Putman and Laura (Vern) Gorney; grandchildren, April (Bob) Arndt, Michelle and Michael Campbell, Haley (Bryce) Gore, Barrie and Alice Rupp, Alex and Wesley Wascher, Cory and Jenny Hearns, Steven Whalen, JohnPaul, Marirose, Theresa, Joey, Rachel and Nicole LeFevre and Tara Putman; great grandchildren, Olivia, Bobby and William.
The family would also like to extend a very special thank you to the staff at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Center.
Funeral service will take place on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Jeff Temple. The family will be present to receive visitors at the Gephart Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Saginaw Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
