Donald G. Willman

Willman, Donald G. of Bay City, Michigan passed away Monday, May 28, 2012 at Brian's House. Age 85 years. The son of the late Walter and Alma (Fischer) Willman was born April 17, 1927 in Saginaw, Michigan. He was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church, retired from Dow Chemical Co. Midland Division and was a member of L.F.A. and T N T Camping Club. Don enjoyed attending polka dances, fishing, hunting, muzzle loading, saw filing and most of all he enjoyed spending time with is wife, children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 63 years the former Shirley L. Reinke whom he married on September 11, 1948 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Reese. Don is also survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law; Sally Kirchhofer, Judy and Tom Rider and Sharon and Jerry Schlicker all of Bay City, five grandchildren; Kevin Kirchhofer, Heather Sartain, Debbie Rider, Matthew and Danielle Schlicker, one brother and two sisters-in-law; Gerald and Patsy Willman and Leona Willman, two sisters and two brothers-in-law; Lillian Pahssen, Lois and Bob Hodgson and Albert Schrader and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother; Robert Willman, one brother-in-law; William Pahssen and one sister-in-law; Bernadine Schrader. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Friday, June 1, 2012 at 1:30p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church 510 W. Ivy St. Bay City, MI 48706. Officiating will be Rev. William H. Allwardt and Rev. John W. Wernecke with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Thursday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mr. Willman will be taken to the church on Friday to lie in state from 12:30 p.m. and until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorial cards for Zion Lutheran Church or Brian's House will be available.
