Mr. Hilterbrick passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at his residence. Age 92 years. The son of the late Maurice H. and Eva (Witton) Hilterbrick was born May 29, 1924 in New London, Wisconsin. Mr. Hilterbrick was born and raised in Wisconsin and served in the United States Air Force during WWII. Mr. Hilterbrick graduated from Purdue University as an electrical engineer. He met his wife Agnes in Massachusetts working at G.E., he worked for Prestolite Corp and then moved to California where he lived for 20 years before returning back to Bay City. Mr. Hilterbrick enjoyed building electronics, working on cars, and riding Gold Wing motorcycles until he reached the age of 72. Mr. Hilterbrick is survived by two daughters, Donna Hartley and Dwight Hartley of Bay City and Lynn (Scott) Trotter of Glendale, AZ; four grandchildren, Tia (Jared) Rondeau, Andrew, Kaitlyn and Lucas Trotter; first great grandson due in September; two sisters, Jeanne Vermuellen of Wisconsin and Romona Welcomer of Colorado; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Mr. Hilterbrick was also preceded in death by his wife Agnes Hilterbrick on January 23, 1973 and two brothers-in-law, Bob Vermuellen and Dave Welcomer. The family would like to extend a special thank you to nurse Kim and Evie and the staff at Safe Hands Warm Hearts for their compassion and care that they gave to Mr. Hilterbrick in his final days. At the request of Mr. Hilterbrick cremation has taken place. A private memorial service and military honors will take place at Oak Ridge Cemetery at a later date.
