Donna L. Thorne

Thorne, Donna L. Saginaw, Michigan Our loving mother and grandmother passed away peacefully with her children by her side in the early morning hours of July 10, 2017 in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 85 years. She was born in Gibson Township on January 13th, 1932 to the late James Stevenson and Edna Roe. One of her biggest passions in life was attending and helping out at her church. She was a member of the Saginaw First Assembly of God and played a key role in establishing Cross Way Assembly of God Church in Reese, Michigan. In her free time Donna also enjoyed reading. Many people will always remember her drive to socialize. She is survived by three children, Terry Thorne, Linda Thorne, and Mark Thorne; five grandchildren, Matthew Thorne, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Thorne, Mr. and Mrs. Justin Thorne, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Thorne, and Tracy (Kevin) Ryan; and six great grand-daughters. Along with her parents Donna was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters, Carl (Betty) Stevenson, Gertrude (Dan) Stewart, Lula Primo, Pearl (Lyle) Craft, and Beatrice (Mel) Gloss. At the request of Donna cremation has taken place and there will be a Memorial Service held at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. Officiant will be Rev. Charles Campbell. Family and friends may come to the funeral home to visit and share memories of Donna on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
