Dorothy (Fenske)Jansen August 8, 1920-December 3, 2014 Dorothy (Fenske) Jansen was granted her angel wings on December 3, 2014. Age 94 years. Dorothy was born August 8, 1920 in Beaver Township. On December 31st, 1947 she married Donald W. Jansen her husband of 57 years and he preceded her in death on on August 26, 2004. She was employed by Dow Chemical, Bay City during World War II and then continued her employment at the Autolite Company for 25 years. Dorothy was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Bay City for 70 years. She was a blue ribbon baker, expert gardener, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter; Diane (Daniel) Peters, daughter- in- law Maryjo Jansen, five grandchildren; Kristen (Jordan) Brinks, Adam Jansen, Taylor, Madison, Connor Shinaberry and two great grandchildren Regan and Ambry Brinks. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband; Donald, one son; Dennis, four sisters; Bertha, Ernestine, Pauline and Alvina and six brothers; Theodore, Edward, Samuel, Nathaniel, Daniel and Kenneth. And two infant brothers Alfred and Fredrick. The family would like to extend a Thank You to her special friends; Doris Mance and Randy and Julie Bellor. Funeral services will take place Monday, December 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Paul E. Schweppe. A private Committal Service will take place at Floral Gardens Cemetery for the family. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.. In lieu of flowers memorial cards for St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church will be available.
