Dorothy Garza

Garza, Dorothy Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Garza passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at her residence. Age 78 years. The daughter of the late Wilfred Poole and Dorothy (Saks) Garnett was born April 2, 1939 in Bay City, Michigan, and was a member of In His Presence Ministries. Mrs. Garza is survived by her three children, Debra (Brian) Endline, James (Julie Diaz) Garza and Timothy (Michele Stender) Garza; six grandchildren, Travis Endline, Felicia Endline, Ashley Garza, Amber Garza, Heather Scott and Todd Scott; four great grandchildren, Kayla Gorski, Ciara Corbin, Aiden Stone and Hunter Christian; one brother, Larry (Carol) Poole; one sister, Elaine Davies; many nieces and nephews and her special pets, Precious, Ebony and Rufus. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Santiago Garza whom she married on September 9, 1958; one daughter, Valerie J. Garza; one grandson, Mitchell Endline; one brother, Wilfred Poole Jr; step mother, Lenore Poole and her step father, James Garnett. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Julie Mistura for her compassion and care that she gave to Mrs. Garza. Funeral service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at In His Presence Ministries. There will be no visiting prior to the service at the church. Officiating will be Pastor Michael B. Baranek. Private interment will take place at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc., on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial cards for the wishes of the family will be available at the funeral home.
