Dorothy M. Kemmer

Mrs. Dorothy M. Kemmer, of Bay City, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Bay Medical Care Facility. Age 92 years. The daughter of the late Otto and Iva (Donaldson) Stegman was born April 20, 1923 in Bay City, Michigan. Mrs. Kemmer was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and its Bell Choir. She retired from the Bay City Public Schools as a secretary. Mrs. Kemmer enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, walking and going to her cottage up north.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her husband; Robert C. Kemmer whom she married August 7, 1943, two sons; Kirk (Nancy) Kemmer, Bruce (Carol) Kemmer, her grandchildren; Kristen (Brandon) Geyer, Sarah Kemmer, Ashley (Bruce) Harvey and Jason Sayen, two great grandchild; London Harvey and Olivia Sayen,one brother; Robert Stegman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law; Ilene Stegman. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff of Bay Medical Care Facility for the kind and compassionate care our loved one received during her time of need.
The Funeral and Committal service will take place Monday, November 23, 2015 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church (911 Center Ave., Bay City, MI 48708). Officiating will be The Rev. Ann Grady with private interment in Elm Lawn Cemetery. The family will be present at the Church on Monday to receive family and Friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
