Reed, Dorothy A.Bay City, MichiganMrs. Reed passed away Saturday January 16, 2010 at Brian's House, age 68. The daughter of the late Howard & Beatrice (Gilmore) Fillion, she was born March 25, 1941 in Detroit. Dorothy was an avid bowler, enjoyed camping and motorcycling and going to the casino.On September 15, 1962 Dorothy married Larry Reed and he survives her along with their children, Steven (Debbie) Reed of Marlette, Jeffrey Reed of Bay City and Lynn Ann (David) Gary of Traverse City; grandchildren, Joshua Reed, Jessica Smith, Ryan Smith, Brandon Gary, Halle Reed and Bryce Reed; sisters-in-law, Elaine Doan of Standish and Josephine Reed of Bay City; a brother-in-law, Robert Reed of Quanicassee; a special niece & nephew, Christine and Larry Roth; and many other nephews & nieces. Besides her parents, Dorothy was also preceded in death by two sisters, Corajane Mitchell and Rosemary Holiday.The funeral service will take place at 11:00am on Wednesday January 20, 2010 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Chaplain Judy Wilcox. Private entombment will be in Elm Lawn Mausoleum. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 to 9:00pm and on Wednesday from 10:00am until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Brian's House.
