Dorothy E. Wood

Wood, Dorothy E. Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Wood passed away Wednesday March 4, 2015 at Covenant Health Care - Harrison. Age 85 years. She was born December 21, 1929 in Bay County, Michigan to the late William J. and Minnie (Morass) Buzzard. She married Harry E. Wood on November 1, 1947. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. After her retirement as a retail clerk for Vescio's in Saginaw she and her husband returned to Bay City. She loved times spent with her family and close friends. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, visiting Florida, South Carolina and Canada. Mrs. Wood is survived by her three daughters, Marcia Spicer, Beverly (Joseph) Youngs and Amy McNamara; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Marlin) Buzzard and Earl Buzzard; one sister Doris Villaire. In addition to her parents Mrs. Wood was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry; one sister, Noreen Weston; two sons, William G. Wood and David E. Wood, one granddaughter, Jessica McNamara and one grandson, Joseph David Youngs. At the request of Mrs. Wood cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Messiah Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Andreas H. Teich. Friends may call at Messiah Lutheran Church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services.
