Dr. Charles H. Link died Sunday evening, February 4, 2018, at his home with his family by his side. He was 84. Charles, "Chuck" to his friends and family, was born in Frankenmuth on January 23, 1934, to Florence (Kaul) and Wilmar Link. Charles was a witty, loving, and industrious husband, father, and educator.
Surviving are his spouse of 63 years, J. Marylyn (Hain) Link; daughter Mardi Jo Link (Pete Morton) of Traverse City; son Benjamin C. Link of Bay City; grandchildren Karisa Link of Canton; Owen Tomaszewski of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Lucas Tomaszewski of Chicago, Il; Landynn Link of Burt; and Will Tomaszewski of Grand Rapids; great granddaughters Aubrey Fox of Canton and Annabelle Rojas of Saginaw; sister-in-law, Eunice Link of Grand Blanc, brother-in-law Richard Hain and sister-in-law Bonnie (Corliss) Hain of Whitehall; a niece and five nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Jack Link.
Per Dr. Link's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service and celebration of Chuck's life will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Messiah Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Andreas H. Teich, with lunch to follow. Friends may visit with the family at the Gephart Funeral home, Inc., on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to make a memorial contribution to Messiah Lutheran Church or to McLaren Hospice.
