Ellico, David R. D.D.S. "Doc" Bay City, Michigan Dr. Ellico passed away Sunday evening October 7, 2012 at his residence with his loving wife and family at his side. Age 76 years. The son of the late Arthur and Rita (Pincombe) Ellico was born March 24, 1936 in Bay City and has resided here all of his life. He graduated T.L. Handy High School and attended Michigan State University and received his D.D.S. from Marquette University and was licensed to practice in Wisconsin and Michigan and served as a dentist for over fifty years. Dave had a great love for dentistry and was very concerned about the care and skill he provided for his patients, and cherished the relationships he created with them. He was a past member of the Bay City Country Club, Elf Khurafeh Shriners, and was a member of the American Dental Association, Bay City Yacht Club, N.R.A. and Ducks Unlimited. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, was an avid hunter and enjoyed a good game of golf and faithful supporter of M.S.U. Most of all Dave had a great love and passion for his family, teaching them respect, loyalty and honesty. He is survived by his wife Kathryn A. Ellico, four children that he cherished; Ann Lydia Ellico and her significant other; Ronald Jones, Patricia E. Christopherson and her husband Mark, Cathy L. Ellico and Justin David Ellico and his wife Caitlin, two grandchildren; Scott O. and Matthew O. Christopherson, one brother; Richard (Carrie), one sister; Linda (Tom), mother-in-law; Esther Pritchard, brother-in-law; Tom (Merrily) Pritchard, sister-in-law; Ellen (Howard) Wendland, his nieces, nephews, two special great nieces; Kathryn and Victoria Wendland, his special friend that always put a smile on his face Rayne Tuer, many friends, his dog and special companion; Izzo and the many special patients that he loved and cared for over the years. Dave was preceded in death by one son; Scott David Ellico, two brothers; Harry and Art Ellico and one nephew; Thomas Pritchard The family would like to extend their love and a special thank you to Debbi Patterson for the kind and compassionate care and friendship that she extended to Dave throughout his life time. A Celebration of Dave's Life will take place Thursday evening, October 11, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc.. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson. The family will be at the funeral home on Thursday to receive family and friends from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. At the request of Dr. Ellico Cremation has taken place and private inurnment will take place in Floral Gardens Cemetery. For those planning an expression of sympathy the family ask that you consider a memorial to The Shriners Children's Hospital, Make a Wish Foundation or the donors favorite charity.
