Jean, Duane B. "Dute" Bay City, Michigan Mr. Jean passed away early Saturday morning, August 18, 2012 at Brian's House at the age of 80 years. The son of the late Arthur Sr. and Margaret (Julian) Jean was born February 1, 1932 in Bay City, MI. He was a member of Our Lady of The Visitation Catholic Church. Mr. Jean retired from G.M. Powertrain Bay City Plant in 1990 after forty years of service. He was a member of U.A.W. Local #362, enjoyed tinkering in his garage and working in his yard. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife the former Margaret E. Dishaw whom he married on May 31, 1952. Also surviving are his children and their spouses; Kevin and Cindy Jean, Brian and Rhonda Jean, Katrina Middleton, Allan and Melody Jean, Jill and Jeff Linderman, thirteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, two sisters: Virginia Madigan and Karen Davison, his sisters-in-law; Marie Coyer, Alma Dishaw, Shirley Jean and Karla Jean, numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by three brothers; Kenny, Richard and Arthur Jr. Jean. The Jean family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff of Brian's House, Dr. Hurtubise, Dr. Ahmod and Dr. Kerr for the kind and compassionate care our loved one received during his time of need. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of The Visitation Catholic Church. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. George Serour with a private Rite of Committal in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Jean will be taken to the church on Tuesday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers Memorial Cards for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Camp Fish Tales, Santa House or Brian's House will be available at the funeral home.
