Buck passed away Monday, February 18, 2013 in McLaren Bay Region hospital at the age of 92 years. The son of the late Robert and Myrtle (Burley) Watson was born October 24, 1920 in Bay City, Michigan. Buck retired from Schaefer's Bread Company. He was an outstanding athlete. Buck was an avid golfer scoring two holes-in-one, a member of the Bay City Bowling Hall of Fame who bowled a 300 game, and a National Paddle Ball Champion. Buck is survived by four loving grandchildren; John Duane (Jamie) Green, Cathy (John) Gessendorf, Caren (Jeff) Hoelker all of Cincinnati, OH and Timothy (Shari) Green of St Cloud, FL, thirteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; one brother Glen (Phyllis) Watson of Bay City, one sister Joyce Gillisse of Edgewater, FL, one brother-in-law William (Julia) Jones of Mashpee MA and two sisters-in-law Betty Daley of Boynton Beach, FL and Kathleen Leinberger of Auburn, MI. In addition to his parents, Buck was preceded in death by his loving wife Marguerite "Peg" (Jones) Watson who he married on April 28, 1938 and who passed away on September 11, 2012, his beautiful daughter Barbara Jeanne (Green), his brother Neil Francis Watson, his sisters; Geraldine (Howard) Simmons, Carol (Phillip) Bellor, his brothers-in-law Robert Jones, Gilbert Jones, Charles Jones, Irwin Lineberger, and sister-in-law Lillian (Jones) Timoney. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Reverend Susan Platt with internment to follow in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, February 25, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Cards for Wishes of the Family will be available at the funeral home.
