Ed passed away on the morning of Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 67 years. Ed was born on November 20, 1949 in Saginaw to the late Edmund and Therese (Bremer) Rehmann. Ed graduated from Carrollton High School in 1967 and went on to receive an associate's degree from Delta College. He served and was honorably discharged from the United States Army Reserves. Ed retired in 2006 from General Motors Delphi and was a member of the UAW Local 699. He also owned and operated Rehmann's Catering for ten years. Ed was also a member of the Buck City Hunt Club in Hillman, Saginaw Field and Stream Club and the American Legion. Ed enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, deer hunting, fishing, golfing, going to the casino, Detroit Tigers and Lions and U of M football.
Ed is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Deb; children, Stephanie (Erik) Snyder of Hemlock, Michelle (Josh) Kessler of Lee, New Hampshire; grandsons, Kale and Logan Snyder and Jude Kessler; mother-in-law, Jennie Kostrzewa of Carrollton; sister, Kay (Tom) Timm of Hemlock; brother, David (Suzanne) Rehmann of Carrollton; brother-in-law, Dave (Dorothy) Kostrzewa of Freeland; many nieces and nephews; and all of his buddies including, Gary, Dale, Jim, Kenny and Alan. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, John Kostrzewa; and his brother-in-law and golfing buddy, Dan Kostrzewa.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. with Mary Ann Helie officiating. Committal will follow in Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial contribution to Saginaw Field and Stream.
