Bennett, Edna M. of Essexville, Michigan passed away late Saturday evening January 14, 2012 at Bay Regional Medical Center. Age 88 years. She was born May 11, 1923 in Bay City and has resided here all of her life. She attended St. Stanislaus grade school until 1939 and graduated from Bay City Central High School in 1942. Mrs. Bennett was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she proudly served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was a member and past president of The Center Ridge Arms and dedicated much of her time assisting others. She was a member and past president of the St. Anne Society and for many years, a member of the Legion of Mary, a founding member of St. Joseph Senior Citizens Club, an avid bingo player and enjoyed trips to the casino. She is survived by one daughter; Caryl Sanchez and her companion Charles Morris, one son and daughter-in-law; William F. and Lynn Bennett, seven grandchildren; Yvonne (Jim) Morris, Kurt (Deann) Sanchez, Michelle Heaslip, Scott (Brandi) Sanchez, Melissa Sanchez, Carrie Bennett and Kelly Bennett, twelve great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren. On October 27, 1945 she married Albert Fletcher Bennett in St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on September 14, 1980. She was also preceded in death by her parents; Stanley and Sarah (Nowicki) Krzyminski, one sister; Sophie Block and two brothers; Aloysisus and Casmier Krzyminski. The Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal will be celebrated Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Dale A. Orlik with private interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m.. Members of the St. Anne Society will recite the Rosary Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. and The Vigil for the Deceased will take place at 7:00 p.m.. Mrs. Bennett will be taken to the church on Wednesday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services.
