Edna wanted others to know she was blessed to live a wonderful life. She passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015. Edna was born September 13, 1916 in Beaver Township. She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish-Holy Trinity Church. She was retired as a school teacher and she taught at Warren School, Merritt School and Bangor Central and was also the co-owner of the Better Weld Shop with her husband. She had a love for golf, enjoyed golfing at Maple Leaf where she was a member and was also a Bay County Recreation Leader for Home Economics. She enjoyed Christmas time each year with her family, enjoyed traveling around the world, vacationing in Florida in the winter, going to the cottage and was an avid Detroit Tigers Fan. Left behind to cherish her memory is one sister; Irene Witbrodt and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Vincent and Rose (Adams) Schnople, her husband; Frank Wittbrodt, her sisters and brothers; Geraldine Yonkie, Frank Schnople, Francis Bethel, Joseph Schnople and Eleanore Wisnieski. The Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal will take place Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish-Holy Trinity Church 906 S. Wenona St. Bay City, MI. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert S. Gohm with cremation following. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday to receive family and friends from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Edna will be taken to the church on Thursday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
