Edward J. Balash

Balash, Edward J. Bay City, Michigan Mr. Balash passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 95 years. The son of late Theodore and Frances (Hodouschek) Balash was born September 21, 1916 in Gladwin, MI. He enjoyed playing cards with his brothers and sister. Mr. Balash served in the U.S. Army during W.W. II. He is survived by one sister: Ann Ouellette of Bay City, one brother; Henry (Jeanne) Balash of Guthrie Lakes, MI., one sister-in-law; Romaine Balash of Bay City, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife; Florence M. Balash,five brothers; Fred, Frank, Ted, Albert and D. Jim Balash. At the request of Mr. Balash cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Nancy Ruh.
