Edward Lee Gifford passed away peacefully on October 7, 2020 at the age of 74. Ed was a proud father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He brought love, laughter and joy to all of those who were blessed to know him. Besides his loving family and friends, Ed shared great love for his classic cars, sports and camping. He was a man of many names including Eddly, Steady Eddy and Uncle Foose. Ed enjoyed heading up euchre and poker parties, singing, dancing and sharing stories with his family. His memories and support will live on with those who knew and shared special moments with him.
Edward is survived by his children, Lisa Nedo, Jody Markwart (Samantha Pipesh) and Eric Gifford; 5 grandchildren, Brooke, Jayden, Haley, Natalie and Lindsy; siblings RuthAnn, Carolyn and John. He is predeceased in death by his loving wife Cathy Lee Gifford, father Russel Gifford, mother Priscilla Green, one brother and three sisters.
Funeral and Committal services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. followed by military honors conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council. Officiating will be Pastor David S. Ferranti. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Following the governors updated restrictions as of October 9, 2020 we will be able to allow 50 people in our chapel at one time, and we will be requiring masks and social distancing in the chapel. You may experience a slight delay while paying your respects to the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions provided to the family to be applied towards the Cathy Lee Gifford Nursing Scholarship.
