Hubbard, Edward O., of Bay City, Michigan a much loved Uncle to many nieces and nephews, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014. The son of the late William W. and Hazel (LeMere) Hubbard, was born July 7, 1930 in Bay City, Michigan. He retired from Northern Supply Co. and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He is survived by his sister, Bonnie Luxton, his nephew, Floyd (Chris) Taylor, a special niece, Pam Howell and a sister-in-law, Patricia Hubbard, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers. A special thanks to the VA Medical Center Palliative Care staff and volunteers for the wonderful care they provided to him, especially his Homecare nurse, Raquel (Rocky) Perez. Also thanks to Heartland Home Care for the assistance given to him when he needed most. Funeral Services will take place Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Community of Christ Church of Midland, 2821 Ashman Street, Midland, Michigan with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Military Honors will be conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. He will be taken to the Church to lie in state Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m. until the services. Those planning an expression of sympathy wish to consider donations to the Aleda E. Lutz V.A.
