Elaine M. Dell

Elaine passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 73 years. She was born in Bay City on February 10, 1946 to the late Raymond and Victoria (Justa) Rivard. On August 10, 2001 she married Daniel Dell and they were married for 18 years. Elaine worked and retired as a CNA from Bay Shores Nursing Care Center after many years of service. In her spare time she enjoyed baking, crocheting, spending time with her family and loved her dog Duke.
Elaine is survived by her husband, Daniel; children, Raymond (Cecelia) Jacobs Jr., Carrie Jacobs and Tammy (Robert Brett) Jacobs; grandchildren, Larry (Kati) Wade III, Justin Jacobs, Amanda Wade and fiance Cole Lynch, Chelsea (Dillion) Stidham, Raelynn Doornbos, Jesse Doornbos and Mikaela Brett; great grandchildren, Alex Jacobs and Justin Witkop Jr.; brothers, Donny and James Rivard; sister, Geralyn (Mike) McComb and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the ICU and CCU unit at McLaren Bay Region. The family would also like to thank Dr. Razza, Dr. Ramos and Dr. Bodrie for their kind and compassionate care they gave to our loved one during her time of need.
The Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Dale A. Orlik with Rite of Committal following in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Kawkawlin. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The vigil for the deceased will be on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Dell will be taken to the church on Thursday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial contribution to the wishes of the family.
